Enjoying all of of Lucca this weekend.

Rented a bike at Poli and rode the walls,

pedaled through town and stopped along the way

at the every-Saturday open air market,

then for lunch, coffee and just to sit and watch.

I love Lucca!

The town has somehow been able to 

keep its Italian character firmly intact,

few concessions, no apologies,

amidst what locals tell me

is an absolute ONSLAUGHT in summer.

In January however, it's just me and the residents: bellisimo!
