Just 2 nights more in Firenze. To commemorate the occasion, I am going out for fabric softener, to begin attacking the pile of laundry that has accumulated. Florentines generally don't dry their laundry in a machine; they launder it and then hang it on a rack in front of the heat to dry. Somewhat cumbersome to say the least, and fabric softener is a must. What an un-romantic send off to this very romantic setting!
