Rode 3 different vaporetti today around the entire cittá:
started and ended at the Grand Canal after circumnavigating
(take that, Christopher Columbus!) entirely each of the two halves
of Venice that are bisected by the GC.

It was almost cold enough to prohibit enjoyment, on the boats
or off, but we rallied/sucked it up, and made a day of it.
There is lots of sheet ice in the lagoon, crusted around the
buoy pilings, vaporetto stop shelters, beneath Gondolas.
The boats cut through it easily, but the thickness and quantity of it
is a testament to just how cold it has been here, unfortunately,
since we arrived.

Found the warm and cozy Taverna San Troviso
for lunch and wine in Dorsoduro, walked home after.
